E-mail makes you dumb

CNN.com reports that workers distracted by phone calls, e-mails, and text messages have a greater IQ loss than someone who smokes pot. All that time in college I could've been a deviant, but I chose to check my e-mail and code websites instead. I'm the most stupidest person ever.

Galapagos Islands: Preview

After an 8 day cruise through Darwin's Science Laboratory, swimming with white tip reef sharks, sea lions, sailing through a pod of right whales, seeing whale sharks up close and personal, and witnessing the beginning of an Ecuadorean uprising, I just wanted to share one picture as I have over 700 to go through. My first day on the beach in the Galapagos on Espaniola with sea lions sunning on the beach. I was so excited--this is my "Miss America ain't got nuttin' on me" traipse in the southern hemisphere's Pacific Ocean.

Springtime for babies

Congratulations to Jenny and Lee on the birth of their handsome firstborn, Jordan Douglas! Jenny called me about 5 hours before giving birth to let me know she was at the hospital and every few minutes said, "Wait one second, I've got a contraction." Then, she'd exhale heavily and go into how labor pains are the worst pains I will ever feel in my entire life and it's 100 times worst than menstrual cramps before pausing to let another contration pass (it's as if she never wants me to have my own kids). After 10 minutes of this, she determined it was time to go and get ready to pop the kid out. Jordan was born the day before Easter, adding another Aries to the long list of Aries friends I already have. Congratulations to their new family and to Jordan who looks like he's got enormous hands!
