Alice, why no updates lately? Where you been? I like this Nik guy you post to, but he had this funny quote about a book he's currently reading:
"'The Stupidest Angel,' by Christopher Moore. It's one of those works of fiction that's so bad, it's good. Or at least very hard to put down. Imagine if Mark Ganek wrote a novel, shredded the pages, and then glued them back together, and you've got this book. It's glib, poppy nonsense, and I haven't even gotten to the part where the fallen angel raises the zombies to attack the church Christmas party. This is a seriously bad book, and tonight it's paired with my physical state like a fine wine."
I thought that was how Mark did write... ha!
Anyway, I'm sitting at work, things are starting to calm down around here, and I felt like getting an Alice fix. I'm reading this book, "The London Pigeon Wars" right now, pretty damn good, and it mentions early on that 30-somethings (ranging from 27-34 or so) are at the age where serious and lasting differences in wealth and social status finally solidify... that you're college pals who were once a motely crew finally segregate into where they'll be for life.
Sort of scary.
